Formally Facebook Causes, Causes was my first great deep dive into branding every aspect of a start-up, from design and UX to brand platform and impact partnership. While at Causes, I created a universal product lexicon, worked closely with designers and developers to build new product features and user flows such as profile building. I also worked with national brands like AT&T, American Cancer Society, Budweiser, TOMS, Kashi, Toyota and Odwalla to develop annual and ongoing philanthropic campaigns that blend their established brand voice into the Causes platform.
By the time Causes was acquired by Brigade Media in 2014, 186 million people in 156 countries had connected to their biggest causes, raising over $50 million for charities worldwide.
